Designed by MDI, the bodies are made of composite materials, fiber glass and polyester resin on polyurethane foam.
The choice of using RTM (Resin Transfer Molding), is possible because of MDI’s industrial concept and its slow production rate. 

The composites do not corrode thus expensive and polluting chains of cataphoresis or galvanization can be avoided; the lifespan is considerably increased.

With equivalent mechanical characteristics, the composite materials are lighter.
The polyester resin / fiber glass combination have a capacity to absorb energy in case of shocks which is 4, 2 times better than steel. 

Tests using hemp fiber were carried out, being cheaper and more ductile than fiber glass are considerable advantages.
In parallel, sisal and flax were also tested. Life tests in wet environments and under UV are still to be carried out to validate a possible use of natural fibers.
