Infrastructures
Based in the model factory, MDI’s R and D centre develops its prototypes and prepares the launching of their production using modern means:
- The study office is 250 m²; it is equipped with work stations, a 3D printer which produce parts in ABS from the drawings (rapid prototyping).High-quality software are used to put together all the elements of the technologies. A team consisting of expert engineers in fluid dynamics, mechanical engineering, electronics and information technology develops MDI’s products.
- An electronic laboratory takes care of ‘mechatronic systems’ and engines’ testing equipments.
- An R&D workshop equipped with a test bench to test the engines and other equipments developed in the premises; the secured workshop is where the prototypes are assembled.
- A CNC tooling workshop with 3D controls to manufacture parts with precision; 8 digital stations are directly linked to the study office (CFAO).
- A design office works on the new products, this office is responsible for the creation of models and masters.
- A body workshop assembles the vehicles as per the instructions of the study office and prepares the products for launching.
- A test track used for the vehicles testing in real condition.
- A showroom where the products are displayed.
- An administrative service consisting of the reception, the accounts department, the management, the purchase services and the sales department.
