On June 22, it was presented the Air'Volution, the waste collection truck produced by MDI for Veolia, in the heart of the city of Lille. It is the first industrial compressed air vehicle rolling on public roads, in the XXI century.
Compressed air is here
The delivery of the Air'Volution is a symbolic event for MDI, as the engine model that equips this vehicle will also include all future MDI products: industrial vehicles, individual urban vehicles, and energy storage systems.
Comfort & Ergonomics
Air' Volution is the result of a close collaboration between the MDI subsidiaries and VEOLIA. The access to the cabin and the work accessories, such as the bucket itself, allow the workers to operate in comfort and safety.
Totally clean propulsion
No gasoline, no diesel, no electricity. The air we breathe is compressed at 248 bar and stored in filament winding tanks of carbon fiber.
This industrial vehicle offers no smoke in the wake of this vehicle, little noise, no pollution, no carbon dioxide, and no fine particles.
The tanks are filled from an industrial compressor.
